Wireframes
The visualization of architecture
Wireframes is the world’s first exhibition focused on the art and technology of architectural visualisation displayed at the A+D Museum in Los Angeles. With over 30 leading artists such as Squint / Opera, dBox, Mir, Luxigon, Alex Roman, and architect-turned-director, Joseph Kosinski, the exhibit encourages attendees to explore the practice that defines how we view structures and space.
Wireframes Pro was crafted as a gesture to the earliest wireframes, echoing the skeletal frameworks that precede built form. The logo transforms the word Wireframes into a spatial structure. We also designed a collection of sculptural 3D letterforms that came to life across screens, extending the typographic system into motion. Acumin Pro was added as the primary typeface for its clarity and versatility. A restrained palette serves as a neutral construction, allowing the artwork to take focus. The result is an identity that bridges the technical and the poetic.
The exhibition tells the history of architecture and computer graphics — coming together to form a new discipline. Panels enable studios to give their thoughts on an essential part of the story, from the very first wireframe through to today’s explorations in AR and VR. Wireframes is a testament to architectural visualisation’s place in the arts.
